Warzone Season 1 intel is up: Hajin at midnight ET November 6, Verdansk later
Activision’s Nov 2 blog: Hajin Battle Royale, Zodiac Resurgence, Switch 2 at Season 1. Verdansk and Rebirth Island are In-Season. Last-gen still drops at the same midnight.

Call of Duty Staff dated the dedicated Warzone Season 1 blog November 2. That is the file the October 28 Multiplayer/DMZ post told readers to watch for, and the one yesterday’s last-gen cutoff brief said was not on the site yet. The clock is unchanged: Season 1 “goes live at 0000 (midnight) ET on November 6 (2100 PT on November 5) across all platforms.” November 6 is a Friday. That instant is Thursday night Pacific / the first minute of Friday Eastern. No separate Warzone downtime hour is printed.
What launches versus what is In-Season
- Hajin: new Battle Royale map. Operators fight in North and South Korea across 13 major POIs. Weather on the blog: clear skies, fog, wind, rain, and distant storms, with visibility called a central factor. Two Gulag variants, both exposed to that weather. Ground-level Gulag spectating is new.
- Zodiac: new Resurgence map at DRC Advanced Systems’ drone assembly and manufacturing headquarters in South Korea. Ten POIs, including Admin, Trackline, Furnace, Solar, Old Mines, Dispatch, Depot, Sentinel, Cooling, and R&D. Beenox with Infinity Ward. Moving trains, underground tunnels, solar panels, furnace conveyor belts, explosive fuel barrels.
- Verdansk: heading on the blog is “Returning Battle Royale Map: Verdansk (In-Season).” Copy: “Verdansk returns later in Season 1.” No calendar day.
- Rebirth Island: heading is “Returning Battle Royale Map: Rebirth Island (In-Season)” even though the body is a Resurgence map. Copy: “Rebirth Island also returns in Season 1.” No calendar day.
A later modes paragraph says Battle Royale and Battle Royale Casual take place on Hajin and Verdansk, and Resurgence and Resurgence Casual on Zodiac and Rebirth Island. That list does not split launch from later. The In-Season headings are the timing this desk is using. The October 28 blog named those four maps without saying Verdansk and Rebirth were not day-one. That split is new.
MW4 integration, Switch 2, last-gen
- Player Level reset, with optional Prestige across Multiplayer, DMZ, and Warzone.
- Access to all 33 Modern Warfare 4 launch weapons, plus Season 1 add-ons. Tactical Sprint for every Operator without a Perk; duration “slightly shortened.” Drag-revive is in.
- New gear named in the lede: Zipline Launcher and Grabber Drone.
- Nintendo Switch 2: “The start of Season 1 marks the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone on Nintendo Switch 2.” First time on that handheld, per the blog.
- PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: “Starting with Season 1, Call of Duty: Warzone will no longer be playable” on those platforms. Progression carries over on a supported platform with the same linked Activision account. The cutoff explainer already on this desk is still the May 28 plus October 28 clock; this note is the restatement.
