When will Fortnite servers be back up? November 1 v43.00 downtime, explained

Epic Games Status dated a Fortnite maintenance card October 30 at 22:04 UTC. The title is “Fortnite: Downtime for v43.00 Update.” The copy Epic printed: “Scheduled downtime for v43.00 begins at 1 AM ET (5 AM UTC).” Matchmaking “will be disabled 30 minutes prior.” The booked window on that card is November 1, 05:00–08:00 UTC. This desk’s October 30 Treasure Hunters brief said no downtime hour was on the news post. That hour is now on the status page.

The clocks Epic actually printed

Sunday, November 1 is also the US fall-back. Clocks go from 2:00 a.m. EDT to 1:00 a.m. EST. Epic’s start line already names both 1 AM ET and 5 AM UTC, so the open is not a conversion guess. The close is UTC only. After the fall-back, 08:00 UTC is 3:00 a.m. EST. That EST hour is this desk doing the offset, not a second line on Epic’s card. The window can finish early or run late. Epic did not print a “servers are up” clock.

What v43.00 is for

The same-day Treasure Hunters news post is the content file. Override’s Battle Pass still prints “Ends November 1, 2026 Eastern Time.” After downtime: 80-player Crossbones Isle, Ace and Nico Robin on the new pass, Luffy / Nami / Usopp in the Shop at launch. The first Captain’s Day is dated November 1 at 9 a.m. ET on that post — a content drop, not a server-up promise. Services listed on the incident: Fortnite login, matchmaking, parties, voice, Item Shop, Fortnite Crew, plus LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival matchmaking.
