Who it’s for

  • People who want a smaller speaker than Charge 6: Bose lists 2.06" H × 7.93" W × 3.56" D, 1.291 lb.
  • Water days: IP67, floats (Bose).
  • Pair-two setups: Stereo Mode or Party Mode via Bose app.

Who should skip

  • All-day backyard volume — Bose says up to 12 hours at typical levels, about 3 hours at max.
  • Anyone who needs aux-in (Bose: no audio cable / no aux).

Sourced facts

  • Bluetooth 5.3; USB-C; ~4 hour charge; PositionIQ orientation EQ (Bose).
  • TechGearLab: praises sound-for-size and durability; notes shorter battery vs some rivals and no aux; they measured 10.5 h in their test (their number, not ours).

Verdict

Worth it when packability and clean Bose voicing matter more than Charge-class runtime and IP68/power-bank features. Check color ASINs; limited editions differ.
