When does Shipment land in MW4? October 27 drop, explained
Activision’s Oct 21 maps-and-modes brief dates the 6v6 return October 27. Russian harbor, classic layout. No hour and no 24/7 playlist are on that page.

Shipment is the first dated post-launch map in Modern Warfare 4. The official Ready for Launch maps-and-modes brief, posted October 21, says it arrives “shortly after launch on October 27” as a Core 6v6. PCGamesN, publishing October 26, repeats Tuesday, October 27. The launch-patch brief already on this desk used the same date. Today is that Tuesday.
The date, and the missing hour
| Claim | Printed where | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Calendar day | callofduty.com maps-and-modes brief, Oct 21 | October 27, 2026 |
| Mode class | Same brief: “Core 6v6” / “Post-Launch Map · 6v6” | Confirmed |
| Unlock hour, ET or otherwise | Not on that brief; not on the PCGamesN recap | Unpublished |
| Dedicated Shipment 24/7 playlist | Not on that brief | Unpublished |
If the map is not in your playlist at local midnight, that is not a contradiction of the date. Activision printed a day, not a reset. Check for a client update and the live 6v6 rotation before assuming it slipped.
What Activision printed about the map
Official copy: Shipment returns on a Russian harbor, hemmed in between the water and concrete-panel buildings. “The map itself is true to form with a classic layout and appearance,” with Modern Warfare 4 visual and gameplay improvements. That is the whole printed description. No spawn table, no mode-by-mode list, no file-size line.
The same brief’s launch count, already covered here on October 22: 12 Core 6v6 maps on October 23, three 32v32 Ground War maps, four 2v2 Gunfight maps, and Kill Block for 3v3 / 10v10. Shipment is the extra 6v6 on the 27th, not one of those launch 12.
