Valorant Patch 13.08: Act 6 starts with Map Rating and a Bind/Corrode swap
Bind and Corrode are in. Ascent and Split are out. Map Rating grades your map proficiency from C to S — and nobody else can see it.

Patch 13.08 is the V26 Act 6 kickoff. Map Rating is new. Bind and Corrode rotate into Competitive and Deathmatch. Ascent and Split rotate out. Riot is also publishing Act 5 penalty numbers in the same notes.
Act 6 starts with this patch
The client gets a new queue and mode-select UI for matchmade and custom games, plus a Career navigation bar that points at Rank Legacy, Accolades, and Map Rating. That is the Act 6 chrome. The ranked-relevant work is Map Rating, the map pool, and Corrode.
Map Rating
Map Rating scores how well you actually play a map: a 0–500 rating plus a C-to-S letter grade. It is built from Overall Win Rate, Attacker Win Rate, Defender Win Rate, and Performance Score. Recent matches weigh more than older ones. Improving any of those four stats can raise the rating.
- Private to you. Other players cannot see your Map Rating.
- Competitive and Premier only.
- Everyone starts fresh. Historical match data does not count.
- You can see rating, stats, and Top Agents in Agent Select, End of Game, and Career.
Performance Score itself got a mid-Act pass that went live in 13.06. Riot bumped the weight of Damage, Adjusted Kills, and Adjusted Deaths — those adjusted metrics include First Bloods and First Deaths — and made Chamber-specific utility adjustments after some edge cases over-weighted non-frag work.
Map pool
Bind
newIN Competitive and Deathmatch.
Corrode
adjustIN Competitive and Deathmatch, with site and mid geometry updates.
Ascent
nerfOUT of Competitive and Deathmatch.
Split
nerfOUT of Competitive and Deathmatch.
Corrode
Riot’s read after a year of data: defender rotations were too slow for retakes, Mid was a brawl through one choke, and A Link post-plant was too strong. The geometry pass is small and specific.
- Faster defender paths into the back of A Site and B Site for retakes.
- Mid half wall is now metal and moved out 1 meter, so it takes less spam and attackers can sneak into A Link without being seen from Top Mid.
- Boxes at the back of Lower Mid moved toward B, with a jump-up added.
- Lower Mid wall raised so you cannot peek over it from the relocated boxes.
- A Site plant zone adjusted to make post-plant from A Link less effective.
Act 5 enforcement numbers
Riot is starting to publish penalty counts more often. These are accounts fully banned from VALORANT for three days or longer during Act 5’s detection window, August 18 to October 1.
| Reason | Accounts banned |
|---|---|
| Cheating | 171,000+ |
| Botting | 54,000+ |
| Rank manipulation (boosters, boostees, hitchhikers, wintraders, others) | 76,000+ |
| Toxicity or comms abuse | 74,000+ |
| Repeated AFK / gameplay abuse | 288,000+ |
| Streamsniping and/or instalock tools | 14,000+ |
Bottom line
If you queued Ascent or Split on muscle memory, that queue is gone for this Act. Bind and Corrode are the Competitive maps that replaced them, Map Rating starts at zero for everyone, and the only numbers Riot is offering on enforcement are the Act 5 ban totals above. Play those. Ignore the rest of the rumor mill.
