Fortnitemares 2026: the corruption spreads across BR, Horde Rush, and Reload

Fortnitemares is not a Battle Royale-only costume week this year. Epic is spreading it across Battle Royale, Horde Rush, and Reload this October, with a cursed cast and collabs arriving through the month: Five Nights at Freddy’s, Hazbin Hotel, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, Obsession, and more.

Nightmare Neighborhood

Drop into Freaky Fields or the new Nightmare Neighborhood POI. Freddy Krueger is waiting there. Defeat him for Freddy’s Nightmare, which lets you teleport into range and slash.

• New: Bonerattler SMG.
• Returning: Wood Stake Shotgun and Pumpkin Launcher.

Cursed Overrides and FNAF bosses

Cursed cartridge Overrides this year: invisibility while sprinting, a damage boost at low health, or conceal your squad as Halloween props. Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronic bosses are in the mix — take one on and you can possess it.

Horde Rush and Reload

The Horde Rush LTM is back. On October 8, Reload gets an updated Nitemare Island alongside the Stranger Things and Squid Grounds maps.

Shop

Five Nights at Freddy’s battle-damaged outfits are in the Shop now. The rest of the listed collabs follow throughout October: A Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Clover, Hollow Knight, 99 Nights in the Forest, Hazbin Hotel, The Purge, Obsession, Slender Man, Beetlejuice, Predator: Badlands, and Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights.
